Vicente de Palacios y Manrrique vdp@alaisdepalacios.com.ar

He is an Attorney-at-law graduated from the Belgrano University in 1995, and also as Master of Law (LL.M.) at Cornell University (USA, 2000), graduated with honors in Patents, Trademarks and Criminal Law. He is a Specialist in Criminal Law graduated from the Austral University (2006). At present he is taking the course as Doctor of Laws in the Austral University.

From 1989 until 1995 he rendered services in several Courts and Prosecutor's Offices of the Argentine Judiciary regarding determination of criminal cases.

He has been a member of reputable law firms specialized in criminal law matters. He participated in internal investigations in companies providing preventive advice to them. He has advised multinational companies (10 of which are among the "Top 100 Rank" –Forbes Global 2000 List-) representing them in written and oral legal proceedings as criminal plaintiff and defense counsel in several jurisdictions.

In 2005 he joined Baker & McKenzie , Buenos Aires Office, and was in charge of the Criminal Law Department, engaged in business criminal law with emphasis on intellectual property issues, tax criminal law and foreign exchange criminal law.

Professor at the Criminal Law Masters of Law program at the Austral University (2013), at the course of Customs Law and Management organized by the Argentine Catholic University (2010) and in the postgraduate course at the School of Law of the Austral University regarding Business Criminal Law (2007).

He has been a speaker at several Seminars and Conferences and has published numerous articels on topics of his specialty.

He is a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, the Bar Association of San Isidro, Member of the Argentine Institute of Custom Studies and the Criminal Law Attorneys Society.
